My life would change when I did finally see
the Wookies and the falcon and the droids
when princess Leia’s planet got destroyed
and Momma never knew
the the force was strong with me and strong with you

the summers go so fast
and the good times never last
and the memories come and go
but Momma always knew
cause she told me I would find someone like you

I fell in love with you at seventeen
a geeky rock and roller in blue jeans
I’m never sure our friends could understand
the day we wed in the presence of my band
and Momma never knew
that our love would hold together just like glue

Now I’m edging up towards forty I’m the same
I writing geeky songs I’ve got no shame
and even if my hair should turn to grey
the kid inside my heart is here to stay
and like Momma always said
you can close your eyes and live inside your head
